Changing - There are tents on the beach with heaters that are set up to change before and after you plunge. Many people never
make it to the tent and change as soon as they get out of the water. A bath robe, snuggie or large blanket might be enough
to cover up as you put on dry clothes. Please remember that you are on a public beach with 4,000 other people. Be discreet.
If you are not sure use the tent.
Food- Several local Police groups have tables set up where they provide free
coffee and donuts. Many local businesses open for this event. You should be able to grab a slice or cheese steak on the boardwalk.
There are a few delis and restaurants nearby
Each Plunger and one guest get a wristband that entitles them to a free lunch after the plunge. Once again the Cranford Plungers will be providing a Hospitality Table for Pre Plunge coffee and donuts. Details
to follow
Buddy System - they expect over 5,000 plungers again this year. Once you plunge and are running
back to your towel and meet up with the group, its not hard to loose track where everyone is, Even with a large group like
ours. Sticking to the Buddy system insures that no one is wondering around alone if they get separated
from the group or in the unlikely event they fall and twist an ankle. This is an especially a good idea for our
younger plungers or first timers. Safety First!
